I have semi-seriously thought that whatever was in the pot Rogan convinced
Musk to smoke on Rogan's podcast nudged Musk fully into the weird, occasionally
self-sabotaging activity that's marked the last few years for him.
Musk has done some very beneficial things, and I think both SpaceX and Tesla
will be net positives as companies.  (Starlink sounds like it could be as
well.)  But past business success has never been a guarantee of future business
acumen, or even common sense.

Setting aside for a moment Musk’s history of saying and doing things in a
blatant attempt to affect stock prices (which he has done to amuse himself,
even though the result sometimes is a personal financial loss to he and his
friends), for him to become the sole private owner of Twitter makes him liable
for everything posted on Twitter. He would spend the rest of his life (and
fortune) fighting civil suits. Hell, I’d consider suing him over my Grammy
nominated stalker’s continued presence on Twitter, when she was suspended from
the network for (among other things) personally threatening me, yet was able to
freely create multiple accounts in her own (stage) name, in so doing violating
Twitter’s TOS.
I genuinely believe Musk is punking Twitter… but I don’t yet see what his end
game is.

Musk deleted some of his weekend Tweets. Too bad he didn’t just delete his

I don't have much of an opinion on the guy other than "often very different".
However, his Starlink internet service, which I use is freaking amazing both
from a performance and implementation* standpoint.
implementation* -- there's a 1000 freaking satellites flying overhead and every
few minutes my Dishy connects from one to the other and maintains ~60 ms
latency to the internet.-   (image legend:* blue dots - satellites* orange -

After spending the weekend Tweeting nonsensical ideas about the social media
