The first episode of the Inside Jeopardy podcast dropped on Monday. It had the insecure vibe most first episodes do so it’s hard to say if the podcast will be worth listening to. The podcast seems geared for people who follow Jeopardy on social media more than those who just like to watch the show. They’re also building up the Jeopardy YouTube channel, this week starting to add a <2 minute highlights video for the previous night’s show.
Announcements: the Tournament of Champions will have a new format though they gave no details as to what it will be. There will be a Second Chance Tournament where 18 players who lost but who had good advance stats will compete for 2 ToC slots. Each week will start with 9 players and end with one. Last season Mayim was introduced as the host of Jeopardy and Ken was introduced as hosting Jeopardy. That was a result of the way the contracts were done.
