Aw, but you didn't read what I said,

You need to solder a new battery to some other traces on the board that hook to 
the
battery, now you will have 2 sources of power for the board, you can now safely
remove the old battery and then solder in a new battery, once that is done you 
can
unsolder the other new battery to the other traces.
