The last statement is more or less true. Basically, you cannot subscribe to a foreign service that has not gained the approval of the Canadian regulatory agencies. And non encrypted service is pretty well fair game, although there may be iternational treaties and that making it illegal to receive signals, even FTA, not from a satellite or transmission licensed for Canada. > Personally, I don't believe that should be considered illegal.
