Wow! Here is a name I haven't heard in a long time: Robert Smathers!

Does he still have his web page up and running? Used to be very informative!

Subject: [TVRO] Mike Kohl Does Show

  Hello,

I was just looking at some old printed e-mails that I have concerning my
first MPEG 2 Receiver. Mike imported it "under his arm"
as I was the second person to buy a Hyundai HSC100. It has been just over 10
years this last November. Funny thing is the receiver is still working. Robert
Smathers was the first to play with this receiver in the United States as I
remember. We had a private mail group for the unit as others bought the
receiver. At the same time some of us purchased GI's 4200V Digicipher units.
Between the two private lists to share the stations we found made for a busy
and exciting time. Today with blind search and $100 to $200 prices for a new
receiver many people can participate in sky scanning.
