Thought one of you might offer contact in my area (New Orleans) to check my syrstem. Have a General Instruments 4dtv receiver that has been down for a couple monmths. Haven't had time to complete diagnosis of its ills. Have active subscription from NPS and was getting normal reception until I started to occasional lose video (distorted picture and then to blue screen) with normal audio. Over a few days it worsened until I couldn't get any video. Didn't matter which satellite, or band, C-band or Ku. Thought I'd swap back to my old receiver to see if I could get any video. I'd then decide whether to send in the receiver for repairs. Lost some of my enthusiasm to tackle the project and haven't been able to find my original installer (Louis "Skip" Jordano) in the past couple months. Anyone in communication with him lately?
