hey satish,

I have tried compiling the source code. But after doing that I do not find how
to start the system with the latest kernel. Also, how to add the kernel to the
grub.conf file.

well the best method is that of compiling the source, but the only other choice
is if someone has already compiled the kernel for u and created a rpm out of
it, which also takes a little longer than compiling the kernel from source,
.... so find out through some googling if 2.6.24 kernel rpms are available on
the internet.

I suppose even if they are available they will have dependencies !
So i suggest go for kernel source compiling, if u have any doubts with that
please post !
