hey satish,

I am done with the kernel compilation.

But do tell me how to do the same with Xen .

,

After u have compiled the kernel, that is, after u have issued the 'make'
command, install the compiled modules by executing "make modules_install". This
will install the modules.

Then install the kernel by using the command "make install ".
This will put the kernel image in the /boot directory and will also make
required entries to the grub cofiguration file

Do these and let me know if u are able to boot.

There is also another method if u are not able to automatically install the
kernel image, u can copy the kernel image to the boot directory and then create
a INITRD image and edit the /boot/grub.conf file manually, ... but it is
generally not required, .....
it was not required for me. I was able to install the 2.6.24 kernel easily, on
Fedora 8.

In case it does not work , i can explain the manual method in
 more detail.
