Hi:
There seems to be performance difference when
running Tata Indicom Plug2Surf on Linux and windows systems.
Three observations are in order for Linux system:
1. transfer rates are slower
2. file downloads are not 'restart'able even if
wget is run with '--continue' option
3. frequent disconnect to the file downloaded
through firefox download facility.
On windows system, the Sungil dialer is used
and on Linux system, wvdial is used.
Here are the configuration settings of
/etc/wvdial.conf file
[Dialer Defaults]
Modem = /dev/ttyACM0
Baud = 460800
Init1 = ATZ
Init2 = ATQ0 V1 E1 S0=0 &C1 &D2 +FCLASS=0
ISDN = 0
Auto DNS = 1
Modem Type = USB Modem
Phone = #777
Username = internet
Password = internet
Stupid Mode = 1

above configuration, please do share.
