There is no dump file in that folder. Thats the reason I copied parts of syslog 
file. In the latest LFY magazine there are instructions to disable unwanted 
services and an advice to remove applications. I will follow that.

I have also read in some forums that UBUNTU hardy has an issue of freezing due 
to the wireless card driver. It is true that in a majority of cases the freeze 
occurred during Firefox sessions, there was atleast one while I was not using 
the net.

I also discovered by using the iwlist scan I could see other wireless networks 
present at this location but in the roaming mode I do not see any in the GUI.
