Like someone else mentioned avoid Compaq/HP. Suggest you select a product wherein the WiFi, graphics are all Intel chips for an out of the box experience. Use Ubuntu 8.10 or openSUSE11.0 LiveCD to verify if all the devices are detected. -- Arun
