The high speed seen is because you are on NIB infra and then
NIXI takes care of the rest. The result shown is for performance
on NIB/NIXI not on "I"nternet.

Please try these tests and check your speed

Here is some info regarding YaST, openSUSE and DataOne
broadband. i've currently done three Acer AspireOne D150 netbook
installs for people using USB boot disk and 512Kbps DataOne
connection.

The first setup/download took 8 hrs for 2+ GB of download using
YaST. I think there is some caching/proxy server on BSNL
dataone, because of which the second and third netbook install
went even faster as i started the setup almost 3 hrs after the
first one.

You may be disappointed by my reply, since i am on a slower
network than yourself and still get better performance than you!

i see all your mails leaning to opinion and perception, rather
than data and objectivity. in that case feel free to switch your
installation to opiniUntu :-)

thanks
Saifi.
