Would you feel you were "censoring" if you received a physical envelope full of child porn with a note saying "share widely" and didn't? This is ridiculous. For starters it's an individual, voluntary refuaal to.offer a platform, not state censorship, that's being called for. *Even if it were* state-censorship, free speech is critical but speech that directly incites abuse or violence is generally accepted to trump the primicy of free speech, because we have a right to not be murdered or raped that's, frankly, a lot more important than unfettered free speech. This isn't protocol-level censorship. This is a user-level filter that will help us choose what speech we amplify and share with the world. I don't use networks that force me to relay child porn, so Twister's lost my advocacy the day it fails to let me choose.
