No-one is forcing anyone to use ICS or Delphi for Windows development, but since that's exactly what I use, I will continue to support and develop ICS for several more years. ICS works fine on my Asus 7in tablet running Windows 8, and I'm sure Windows will find it's way onto many more tablets as memory gets even cheaper and processors more powerful. I'm sure ICS would work on Lazarus (it did in the past), but no-one has volunteered to help support ICS on that platform, or indeed on any mobile platforms, or even help support the C++ version, so all of these are on hold due to lack of interest from volunteers.
