For the same reason I do not buy AllInOne pc's or DVD-TV combos. I prefer a modular approach where you have some choices in the technology being used. If Rocket came back and said, "The new interface is only in Erlang" how many would cheer? Not many. Granted Erlang is good, and rock solid, and powers some very good software applications.
