A few reasons: Effective use of resources -> Why spend time duplicating an already workable solution Limitations -> The underlying platform DevZone is built-upon is not suited or easy to bend to be a code sharing platform Time -> Ignoring the above, it would take us much longer to get down, especially since our web team is very busy Future -> We can get this integrated into DevZone anyway. Github has very good APIs we can leverage to integrate into DevZone at a later date. Check out the side bar on our blog, it already shows our Github repositories, Fork buttons and some basic stats. All done in much less than a day.
