However, it is quiet possible that the question itself could not be relevant...

24Ghz is affected by rain, as well as moisture content of the air (oxygen 
+humidity). 
So based on what the allowed tx power in the un-licensed band, could possibly 
create a limit on how long the longest link could be, 
which may not be long enough to be affected by ducting.

BTW, Trango or others may be able to give you a better answer in regards to 
inversion / ducting, by giving you such info in regards to their 23ghz license 
product ( which should have similar characteristics as 24ghz, with the 
exception of licensed links are allowed more tx power)
