Again, the command isn't found. I had a hunch something went wrong with
the upgrade. If there's no help for it than is there atleast a way to
get my files off from the drive before reinstalling? I can boot up with
the Try without changing anything option but I can't boot from the
initial disk.

I think something went very wrong when you upgraded from intrepid to
jaunty.

For example "apport-collect" is a command which was not available in
intrepid and it's available by default in jaunty. Also you have
"/lib/modules/2.6.27-11-generic/volatile" listed in your "df" output
which sounds like an intrepid machine (for jaunty you should have .28
kernel).

What does "lsb_release -a" print?

Finally, it looks like you have some serious problem with your
disks/partitions.

Status in “xorg” source package in Ubuntu: Incomplete

Bug description:
Binary package hint: ubuntu-docs

After boot info and pswd is given it reads:

Cannot create a temp file, the connection has been refused, ERRNO111.
Unable to connect to x server

No such process ERRNO 3. Server error

Error in locking authority file/home/aidake/.Xauthority. Fatal server
error. Could not create lock file in /tmp/.tXO-lock

Than it takes me back to the command prompt.

This is release 9.04

This problem came up once before when I had to manually shut it down but
I booted from the original disk and restarted and that fixed it. Wasn't
the case this time.
