Doris, you are getting a few steps ahead of me. This is not an issue with rhythmbox because it is not the program's fault that it can not find the CD. It can not find the CD because Linux is not loading it correctly. Please do not uninstall/reinstall programs.
To get rhythmbox back, please open up the Terminal (found in Accessories) and type the following command: sudo apt-get install rhythmbox Note, you may have to enter a password. If there is an issue, please copy-n-paste the text to this bug report.
