LibreOffice takes a very long time to load, if we dont show the splash
screen the user would just have to wait without knowing when it will
load or even if it will load or if it has crashed. I dont see what we
are improving here by removing the splash screen.

Ideal fix would be to shorten the startup time for the apps and /then/
remove the splash, which would certainly not be an easy task. ;-)
