Thank you for the answer and useful tips. The solution works perfectly
for circumflex, but the symbols in power still look awkward as they are
only shifted in height but not in width. I've attached a screenshot of
what the suggested settings helped me achieve with the test ODT file.

Is the settings causing circumflex invisible specific to my system or is
it a default behavior? If it is default, I guess it should be altered so
an average user would not have issues with iGreek symbols.

Symbols in power, in my opinion, still need some positioning fixing as
they look awkward (and still even touches their base).
