Exactly. What I wish they would do, is to treat the Unity thing as an opt-in deal, and find some way to figure out how many people actually prefer the new UI over the old one. If, after a year, more people opt in than out, then call it a success and make it the default UI. I'd bet a dollar that far less than half would opt for the new UI.
