I don't think I can get you the information you want, because I had to change the system. So that information likely would no longer exist.
It all started when I tried the nvidia-173 driver. After rebooting, it just came up with a blank, black screen. So, to get the system running at all, I had to download and install the original 13.04 Xubuntu, then reload many of my programs, and begin all over again. Now I am back with the nouveau driver. However, I still cannot get my monitor to display in its normal 1280x1024 mode. It now only allows a maximum resolution of 1024x768. So I am going to try to get a driver for my monitor and install it, if I can, hoping that will help. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1176062 Title: System usually crashes when starting Firefox and/or Thunderbird To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1176062/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
