Hi Califa, thank you for your suggestion. Unfortunately this has not solved my problem. I tried a reboot after updating GRUB file and touchpad gone again. This is what the GRUB looks like now:
GRUB_DEFAULT=0 GRUB_TIMEOUT_STYLE=hidden GRUB_TIMEOUT=0 GRUB_DISTRIBUTOR=`lsb_release -i -s 2> /dev/null || echo Debian` GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash hid.debug=1 i2c-hid.debug=1 log_buf_le> GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="i8042.nopnp pci = noaer" Is this correct? Using the touchpad is not absolutely essential as I do have a usb mouse, however, it is not something that I would like to write off as a quirk and live with it as there are situations where using an external mouse is awkward, for example sitting on the couch, a busy train, etc. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1884288 Title: LapBook Pro touchpad (HTIX5288:00) sometimes does not work when machine is restarted To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1884288/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
