The following link contains important documentation for users & developers
regarding this bug....
http://git.kernel.org/?p=linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux-2.6.git;a=blob;f=Documentation/usb/power-management.txt;h=b2fc4d4a99177be7bd48dce560d1f28417c60aa9;hb=HEAD

This decsribes issues in the 2.6.24 kernel....
In short, so many USB devices don't autosuspend properly, that blacklisting
them has been pushed to user-mode.
By default in the new kernel, autosuspend is disabled for everything but USB
hubs.
Because they've left autosuspend enabled for USB hubs, and this may still be
hitting some of us.
(Maybe that's what I've been seeing when running Hardy alpha2)
