I have a similar problem, but without the encrypted file system.

On my Dell XPS 8930, I was running Ubuntu 25.04 without issue, but after
upgrading to 25.10 the machine failed to boot.

In the boot log, it shows the following error:

faux_driver dell-pc: platform_profile probe failed

Starting the machine using the Grub menu and selecting "Advanced options for
Ubuntu" and then "Ubuntu, with Linux 6.14.0-35-generic" works perfectly.

I can boot into 25.10 without issue for now, but only by selecting the
older 6.14 kernel.
