@Till: I strongly agree upon "logging on error level" for invalid directives.
My (slightly snarky, sorry for that) remark regarding the "change in policy" was directly targeted at the fact that the security fix, which had the privilege of being installed automatically on all my customers' machines, changed the behaviour of cupsd in a way that the cupsd stopped working (which cause some havok...). Security fixes shouldn't have side effects like that.
