We have the same problem (Linux 'Mint') and it is very disruptive. A look around forums proves it has caused widespread disruption
I altered the Config file using a work-around found on https://forums.linuxmint.com/ I am unsure why a rectifying update wasn't quickly released, maybe that will be explained in due course.
