@Patric: yes, that is part of the security fix, it is now properly
checking for malformed configuration files, like it was supposed to do
but due to a bug, wasn't.

The question is where did users in this bug get the malformed
configuration files in the first place? While the new version now
correctly detects them, we need to figure out what the source of the
malformed configuration files is.
