Hi Chris,
Thanks for the feedback and for pointing this out — you're absolutely
right that we need to be careful with potential regressions in the
generic HDA/SOF configuration files.
To address your concern:
- The patches for bug #2130313 have been verified on
noble/plucky/oracular in bug #2106394. I have verified again when making
the questing debdiff.
- The patch 0007-ucm2-use-new-SetLED-macro-to-hide-the-implementation.patch
simply uses the new SetLED macro to hide the implementation details(sysw
"-/class/sound/ctl-led/speaker/card...").
'FixedBootSequence' would still work even if we didn't use the SetLED macro. On
generic sof-hda-dsp.conf and HDA.conf, the behavior remains unchanged.
- However, without it, we would need to revise the original commit with
'FixedBootSequence' every time we want to add a new patch that uses the
SetLED macro by default.
- I had verified the changes — after applying the patches, 'alsaucm
reload' completes without errors, basic playback/capture works as
before, and there are no new warnings. If there were any dependency
issues in the configuration, errors would appear.
Do you have more concerns? Thanks again for the careful review!
