@Seth: Yes, complain mode might emit log entries, but that is intentional. If you see any, please report what they where and what setup you had so we can update the profile (e.g. as a bug report in Debian). Starting out with the complain mode is necessary for a brand new AppArmor profile to avoid false positives that might affect users much worse than just by having log entires. The profile can be set in enforce mode for Ubuntu immediately if you want, or the MIR approvers can ask that the profile is set to enforce immediately on the day the MIR gets approved. Switching that setting is trivial, taking time to do it is just a matter of risk management.
