I'd rebooted and was using the system from the installed (resolute)
install, so I've rebooted & returned to the same LIVE image.
Lubuntu resolute as before
- after I get GUI, I adjust monitors to match my setup
- open firefox; go to launchpad & find this report so I can copy/paste; login
- finally run commands (ie. some delay before they were run
lubuntu@lubuntu:~$ systemctl is-active graphical-session.target
inactive
lubuntu@lubuntu:~$ systemctl is-active graphical.target
active
this is the older dell optiplex 780 (ie. ~9 years older than 7050), but output
here matches prior time it was run here anyway
lubuntu@lubuntu:~$ systemctl status --user xdg-desktop-portal

Loaded: loaded (/usr/lib/systemd/user/xdg-desktop-portal.service; static)
Active: inactive (dead)
