Also please note - this bug reports concentrates on a LIVE run, but I
have an actual install on this box, and the firefox-settings-hang
happens there too, though I've not run any commands. This install is a
somewhat ordinary Lubuntu install; opera, brave browsers added (snap),
nfs-common, aptitude & a few deb packages; but minimal changes.

My primary box is much newer, and it also hangs when I open firefox & go
to settings window. That install is very heavily modified; multi-desktop
install (Ubuntu Desktop (GNOME), Lubuntu Desktop (LXQt), Xubuntu/Xfce &
more..) though 80% of the time I'm using LXQt there, and there is a good
chance I've not logged into Xfce/GNOME and look for a difference on that
install.

( also do note ... I just walked to my primary box, and i could close the
SETTINGS window; it's a much faster optiplex as a ~decade newer than this box,
but it could be the HANG does resolve itself... Whilst I couldn't do anything
in the Settings Window (my primary box), firefox WOULD ALLOW ME TO CLOSE that
window & I could still access Ubuntu Discourse & other open windows normally..
I don't notice that behavior on this box, but maybe I'm not patient enough...
I could explore further if helpful )
