Stepping in with both Communications Council and Community Council hats on. There is nothing wrong with this bug report from a technical perspective, but some of the wording being used here is unkind, unnecessary, and disruptive.
@kennybobs, @dtl131: I would strongly encourage both of you to read the Ubuntu Code of Conduct (https://ubuntu.com/community/docs/ethos/code-of- conduct) in full before continuing to engage in this thread. Wording like this is being thrown around by both of you above: * "Whoever made this change should be removed from doing so immediately" (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nvidia-graphics-drivers-470/+bug/2155202/comments/2) * "it's time to look at the people and the process and make sure it doesn't happen again" (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nvidia-graphics-drivers-470/+bug/2155202/comments/25) * "This is the kind of attitude you get on IRC when something as simple as this is reported." (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nvidia-graphics-drivers-470/+bug/2155202/comments/11) * The entire "deaf ears" comment (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nvidia-graphics-drivers-470/+bug/2155202/comments/23) All of this is disrespectful and is prohibited by the Ubuntu Code of Conduct. None of it has done *anything* to make progress on this bug, progress is only being made because enough people are affected that teams in Ubuntu took notice. Words like this make people want to actively avoid fixing issues just so they don't have to deal with this kind of hostility.
