Ok, now I'm on 6.8 and wayland so session restore nightmare began: - Dolphin windows and tabs lost - konsole tabs lost (how do you plan to restore old applications even if KDE native can't restore properly?!) - browser restores only the 1st window, other need to restore manually via browser tabs undo - a lot of applications do not restore (minimized to tray): qbittorrent, kshutdown, keepasxc, akregator, etc - goldendict crashes - qtox does not work - gkrellm look terrible and does not act as a panel - etc etc
Good things: - screen scale is the same for 4K comparing to X11 - 200% - HDR (however may be too bright) - hardware acceleration in browser Why you forced users to suffer all of these?! People asked for months to postpone this premature unready and buggy X11->Wayland migration but all these requests and claims was ignored. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/335761 Title: Placement policy 'Remember' by default for all windows To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/kubuntu-default-settings/+bug/335761/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
