Hey! It's impossible to use windows' bootloader to boot on any GNU/Linux distro because they're fighting against us. You just have to use ubuntu gnome installer, and select "keep windows and install ubuntu gnome aside"; at restart you will be able to choose between Ubuntu GNOME and Windows, in GRUB. To dual-boot, and also to boot, you have to use Grub, it's the only usable bootloader that is available for us.(and it's the most used even if you can choose (see Debian))
