Thank you NumPy for you answer and time. No, I didn't use any additional software. The default "/var/www/ index.html" that creates the "It works!" message is pre-fabricated and comes with apache. It works when my workstation is connected. But if I remove the ethernet and reload the page, firefox says that it cannot connect to host "http://localhost".
