Thanks again, Matthew. It did work indeed! I walked to my workstation and switched the firefox offline switch, and there was the page again (after reload). But now I understand it even less, because when I switch again, it remains visible. And stangely, I couldn't find an "offline" switch in the Konqueror, but it now shows the site correctly as well, although I have been offline for the whole meantime.
