Try this:

-Reboot
-At the terminal, press (left) Ctrl+Alt+F1. Do this through all the F keys,
and see if you find a virtual-terminal that has a X server running. If not,
just Ctrl+Alt back to F1.

And be sure to post whatever stuff Icebreaker wants.
