Hi Christopher, hi Icebreaker, After pressing the power button and the BIOS screen, linux offers me a list of versions and starts off itself after 3 seconds or so. Then a Kubuntu logo appears with a couple of processes underneath. And then it returns to a plain shell screen where finally the login prompt appears. I think I saw running messages scripts/init/premount scripts/local-premount or something similar. It all runs too fast to fix it on paper.
Once all that has started so far and I press Ctrl+Alt+F1,F2,... it does the same in each case with only changing TTY1,...,TTY6. This is from F1 to F6. F7 doesn't do anything and F8 returns a plain screen with messages Checking battery state .... Starting TiMidity++ ALSA midi emulation ... And F9 to F12 doesn't do anything.
