Your problem seems to be more fundamental. You dont have a connection to the internet at all (at IP level). Hence you dont have a valid DNS lookup either. According to your info, you are NOT using the wireless stack of the Linux kernel and hence only have to threat your network like an Ethernet. When you have a reliable Ethernet connection to the "wireless panel" you can worry about how it connects to the internet. First do what "linuxonbute" suggested and post the results. Then run "dhclient" as root and post the results as well. And the other question is can you ping your "wireless panel" successfully ?
