Welcome Benjamin - pleased to have you here. We have been wading through the proposal procedure (and bounding emails off the location tech list - often to the sound of stunned silence).
So in terms of pestering you as a mentor: what is next? We have submitted our proposal to LocationTech, I understand there is a period of review, and a parallel IP check to look forward to. We have our own community "change control procedure" - here is what we are working against: - http://udig.refractions.net/confluence/display/UDIG/Eclipse+Foundation+LocationTech - http://udig.refractions.net/confluence/display/UDIG/License+Change In the very short term we have a 1.3.3 release to get out: - Jody: WMS 1.3.0 GetFeatureInfo - Jody: SDK - PSC: License Change - (This 1.3.3 release is likely the target for the parallel IP process) -- Jody Garnett On Tuesday, 30 October 2012 at 1:11 AM, Benjamin Cabé wrote: > Hi, > > For your information I just volunteered for mentoring the uDig project at > LocationTech. > I am a new member of the Eclipse Architecture Council, and as a former > contributor/committer to uDig, and an active participant to the efforts for > bringing open Machine-to-Machine technologies at Eclipse [1] (which clearly > have connections with geospatial technologies), I hope to be able to help you > get familiar with Eclipse processes and give you good advice for easing the > move to Eclipse! > > [1] – http://m2m.eclipse.org > > Regards, > Benjamin. > > _______________________________________________ > User-friendly Desktop Internet GIS (uDig) > http://udig.refractions.net > http://lists.refractions.net/mailman/listinfo/udig-devel > >
