We have a weather watch special statement that has just been issued on areas
surrounding GTA {Greater Toronto Area}. There is a warning of freezing rain
of Eastern and Southern Central Ontario including parts of The Greater
Authority of Toronto, Halton-Peel, Caledon, New Market, Georgina, Northern
York Region, Uxbridge, Beaverton and Durham Region are all included into
that warning. Let me clarify one thing that this is just a warning and The
down town core, where most of us the intelligent people live is not included
into that warning. And I add that being a night time, weather patterns try
to move wider than they are expected to be so I would not limit that warning
to only that area.
There is something very strange going on with Police on QEW that tis not
clear, Police is stating that they have closed the East bound near CNE
{Canadian National Exhibition} in connection with a Police investigation.
East Bound is the only inbound to down town core and closing it means no one
comes into center of civilization, I have a problem understanding why they
are only saying they have shut it down without stating why. The Tweet from
Police states also that the west bound lanes of QEW are also going to be
shut down later this evening. So we are on a situation where we are going to
lose the Entire Queen Elizabeth Way on both inbound and out bound due to a
Police investigation. That is very strange.
Just before I clicked send, Police now are saying they have opened up East
Bound. But still not stating why what when and where.
