As many of you have started to realize, George Okello does not want us to
post information about our city any more to the forums. I am going to post
some two things that have happened in this city today that are of
importance, read them and very fast before George Okello walks to your
computer to erase them.
1} An LCBO {Liquor Control Board of Ontario} store on Summerhill location,
yesterday sold the most expensive wine bottle in the world, that is the
location on Yonge street just north of Bloor street. This is an Australian
brewed bottle of wine, defined as a 2004 Kalimna Block 42 Cabernet
Sauvignon, believed to be the worlds oldest continuously producing Cabernet
Sauvignon vineyard. This particular bottle has a family of only 12 in the
world, so one of them was sold in Toronto yesterday and there remains 11 out
there which I have no idea what store holds them. The price it sold for?
Only $168,000.00 dollars. This bottle has been stored in an air tight
cabinet in the store and was going to be on display to only the end of
October, if no one was interested it was going to be taken to another city.
It was bought yesterday so do not bother asking for it.
2} Price water house coopers made a study of the best cities to live in, if
they only considered business life and innovation, when they consider those
three categories in the world, New York was on top in the world, and Toronto
became number two only beaten by New York. If you only considered Quality of
living, clean air, sports and leisure, as well as Sky Scraper construction,
Toronto was number one in the world beating off New York. This is how they
numbered in the first 26 cities. New York City Toronto San Francisco
Stockholm Sydney London Chicago Paris Singapore Hong Kong Houston Los
Angeles Berlin Tokyo Madrid Seoul Beijing Abu Dhabi Shanghai Mexico City
Moscow Santiago Istanbul Sao Paulo Johannesburg Mumbai
