Hey Bob,

I believe BBC iPlayer and Sky use Neustar, their IP list comes with both a
location and a value that lets you know “how sure” they are, I think they
update it weekly as well…

Subject: Re: [uknof] Geo-location of IP ranges

I have a requirement to accurately identify source IP addresses of traffic as
being in the UK or not – similar I guess to the way BBC iPlayer has to know
that you are in the UK or you can’t see content.

Does anyone else have this requirement?

How do other organisations manage this data?

Is anyone aware of a data store or feed that provides an accurate updated list?

Any help, advice etc welcome on or off-list
