Unless you have been served with a notice, you are under no direct legal
obligation to keep any data.

(Data Retention and Investigatory Powers Act 2014, section 1(1) - "The
Secretary of State may by notice (a “retention notice”) require a public
telecommunications operator to retain relevant communications data..." -
