Unless you have been served with a notice, you are under no direct legal obligation to keep any data. (Data Retention and Investigatory Powers Act 2014, section 1(1) - "The Secretary of State may by notice (a retention notice) require a public telecommunications operator to retain relevant communications data..." - see http://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/2014/27/section/1/enacted) Z.
