Got a modem you don’t need? Send it to Openreach. And you could win £100. Page Content What we’re talking about are the Openreach white modems. As people have been moving to newer versions of routers ― such as Home Hub 5s ― the Openreach modem is no longer needed. But some communication providers (CPs) still need these modems. And our stocks are running low. So we’re refurbishing them and sending them off to new homes. Katie Milligan says: “What we want are two types of modem. The ECI and Huawei. Both are white and look similar but the ECI’s slightly bigger.
