Lets be clear: 1: There is no censorship, if you want to view these sites you just have to prove that you are of age to view them. 2: There is no mass government surveillance related to this. To tackle this government direction is technically simple, infact, I could have written the code to do when I was eleven. For the extreme person, they can by-pass it by various means, but also loads of sites aren’t under UK jurisdiction in anycase but parents want a solution to this and many ISP's and other companies offer it.
