14e4 is correct in both cases.

I tried the 0.1 release with the same results, except I could see where
it was trying DHCP on ETH1/2. On the laptop it failed (no such device).
On the server, ETH1 failed just like ETH0 (even when I had the cable
plugged into ETH1). Note: both machines can get a lease just fine when
booted into Windows.

Also, FYI, I booted a Knoppix 3.3 CD on both machines and got the same
results as your image - the hardware is detected, it recognizes that the
link is up, but it fails to get a lease.

I suspect you meant "14e4" (Broadcom) instead of "1434" (unknown)?

This could be explained by not having a DHCP server (or a cable) on
the device Linux calls "eth0". The 0.1 release might help.

Only one is listed even when it is in the docking station? Hm.

Also, are you sure about 16a6 (again assuming you meant 14e4:...)?
That would imply that your laptop has a gigabit ethernet card. Cool.

Please let me know if 0.1 fixes either or both of these machines.
