Hi, I'm currently messing around with this fucked up system a little testing various things at once.
Following situations: Harddisk, floppy and cdrom connected: "* We have fix_disk_geo_heads (78), writing into /dev/dsk1" "* We have fix_disk_geo_sectors (60), writing into /dev/dsk1" Harddisk and floppy connected: "* We have fix_disk_geo_heads (78), writing into /dev/dsk1" "* We have fix_disk_geo_sectors (60), writing into /dev/dsk1" Harddisk and cdrom connected: "* We have fix_disk_geo_heads (78), writing into /dev/dsk1" "* We have fix_disk_geo_sectors (60), writing into /dev/dsk1" Only harddisk connected: "* We have fix_disk_geo_heads (78), writing into /dev/dsk1" "* We have fix_disk_geo_sectors (60), writing into /dev/dsk1" but when you run unattended again after the NTLDR error it suddenly says: "* We have fix_disk_geo_heads (27), writing into /dev/dsk1" "* We have fix_disk_geo_sectors (21), writing into /dev/dsk1" The NTLDR error is still there, though. Then I tried "dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/sda bs=1024 count=100", ran unattended again, NTLDR error. :/ I'll try the BIOS Update next but this piece of shit software needs a Windows system to run ... -.- Manually installing Windows really is a pain once you've tasted the sweetness of unattended installations. - jens ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by the 2008 JavaOne(SM) Conference Don't miss this year's exciting event.
